Rocks go through a cycle called the rock cycle. The rock cycle is a cycle in which rocks change into other rocks. A sedimentary rock can go through heat and pressure to create a metamorphic rock. Rocks, however don't just change into another rock and stay that way. Rocks go through the rock cycle many times. The rock cycle may be confusing, but rocks can change very easily. An Igneous rock might go through weathering and erosion. If this happens, a igneous rock turns into a Sedimentary rock! That same sedimentary rock goes through hat and pressure underground, that rock is now a Metamorphic rock. Again, that same metamorphic rock starts melting, and then cools, and creates a Igneous rock. This process though and take Millions of years.
